Hey… It’s Saturday… and I’m playing around in the test kitchen. I love ribs… grilled, baked, whatever… I love ribs. These were an experiment that turned out pretty dang good, so here you go. So, you ready… let’s get into the kitchen.

Ingredients For asian inspired slow cooker ribs

2 Tbspchinese five spice powder

2 Tbsplight brown sugar

1 Tbspkosher salt or 2 teaspoons table salt

3-4 lbspare ribs or baby back ribs

1/2 cfiltered water
How To Make asian inspired slow cooker ribs

1Gather your ingredients.

2Mix the spices together in a small bowl.

3Use your fingers to break up the brown sugar… A chef’s best tools are his/her hands.

4Remove the silver skin, by cutting under it, and then using a paper towel to grab and pull it off the ribs.

5Cut the ribs into sections that will fit into your slow cooker.

6Sprinkle the spices onto the ribs and rub.

7Add the water to the slow cooker.

8Add the ribs.

9Cook on low for about 6 hours.

10Chef’s Tip: At the end of the 6 hours, the rib meat should be tender and separate easily from the bone.

11Slice the ribs into individual pieces, and add some sauce.

12Serve while still warm. Enjoy.
