I know the name sounds odd, but I honestly can't remember the real name. This recipe acquired the new name when my uncle had emergency surgery to remove his appendix after having this for dinner. Don't worry though, this has been made several more times without incident.

Ingredients For appendicitis pork

  • 5 - 7
    boneless pork chops
  • 1/4 c
    cinnamon
  • 1 pkg
    onion, chopped
  • 1/2
    bag of dried cranberry's
  • 2 box
    uncle ben's long grain & wild rice
  • 2 c
    apple juice
  • 8 oz
    four cheese italian blend cheese, pre-grated

How To Make appendicitis pork

  • 1
    Coat pork chops in cinnamon; cook both sides in a skillet, add some water if necessary.

    In deep frying pan cook rice according to box directions; SUBSTITUTING THE WATER FOR THE APPLE JUICE and add onions. When the rice is almost done, add the dried cranberry's; finish cooking.

    When rice is done, put in 9x13 inch pan; top with pork chops and cheese. Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
