Ingredients For halftime pita pizzas

1 tspolive oil

1 smonion, cut into thin strips

2 clovegarlic, minced

2 smgreen bell peppers, cut into thin 1- inch strips

1 tspbasil, crushed

1/4 tspthyme

1/4 tspred pepper flakes

4 lgplum tomatoes, thinly sliced

2(6- inch) pita breads, split horizontally

2 c(8 ounces) shredded mozzarella cheese
How To Make halftime pita pizzas

1Add oil to large skillet and heat to medium. Cook onion and garlic in skillet for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.

2Add pepper strips; cook 5 minutes or until vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally; stir in basil, thyme and red pepper flakes.

3Layer tomatoes evenly over pita rounds; top with warm vegetable mixture. Sprinkle evenly with cheese.

4Broil 5 to 6 inches from heat source 1 minute or just until cheese is melted.
