So yummy! Making your own pesto is the best but you can use store bought.

Ingredients For chicken pesto pizza

  • PESTO
  • 1 bunch
    fresh basil
  • 2 Tbsp
    pine nuts
  • 1 clove
    garlic
  • 2 Tbsp
    grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • salt and pepper
  • olive oil, for emulsion
  • PIZZA
  • 1
    pizza dough, store bought, frozen, or make your own
  • 2/3 c
    pesto
  • 2 c
    shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 c
    shredded left over rotesserie chicken
  • 1 c
    cherry tomatoes, cut in half
  • fresh basil leaves, pine nuts and Parmesan cheese, for topping

How To Make chicken pesto pizza

    For the pesto, place all the ingredients in a food processor except the olive oil. Process while drizzling in the olive oil just until it's smooth.

    Preheat oven 500 degrees F. Place the dough on a lightly greased pizza pan and spread out to a 12 inch circle. Brush the edges with olive oil. Spread the pesto on the pizza. Top with the mozzarella, chicken and tomatoes. Bake about 10 to 12 minutes.

    Remove from oven and top with pine nuts, Parmesan cheese, and fresh basil leaves.
