Ingredients For white bean pesto pasta

  • 10 oz
    angel hair pasta
  • 1 c
    frozen peas
  • 1 can
    cannellini beans, drained (15 oz)
  • 1 c
    fresh basil leaves
  • 1/2 c
    grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 clove
    garlic
  • 2 tsp
    lemon juice
  • 1/4 c
    olive oil
  • shaved Parmesan, for garnish

How To Make white bean pesto pasta

  • 1
    Cook the pasta in boiling salted water for 10 minutes. Add the peas during the last couple of minutes. Reserve some pasta water and drain.

    Place the beans, basil, grated Parmesan, garlic, lemon juice, and olive oil in a food processor. Process until well incorporated. Add a little pasta water if too thick.

    Place the pasta with peas back in the pan and stir in the pesto over low heat until heated through. Serve with shaved Parmesan on top.
