Ingredients For vegetarian spaghetti

1 pkg(16 oz.) spaghetti (or whatever pasta you prefer)

1 cchopped onion

1/2 cchopped celery
-
1 tspgarlic powder (or 2 cloves minced garlic)

3 Tbspcanola oil
-
1 jar(26 oz.) meatless spaghetti sauce
-
1 can(15 oz.) garbanzo beans or chickpeas, rinsed and drained
-
1 can(14.5 oz.) diced tomatoes with garlic and onion, undrained
-
1 tspsugar
-
1/2 tspsalt
-
1/2 tspdried oregano
-
1bay leaf
-
1/4 cgrated parmesan cheese
How To Make vegetarian spaghetti

1Cook the spaghetti or pasta according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, saute the onion, celery and garlic powder (or minced garlic) in oil until tender.

2Add spaghetti sauce, beans, tomatoes, sugar, salt, oregano and bay leaf.

3Bring to a boil; cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Discard bay leaf.

4Drain spaghetti; top with sauce and cheese.
