This came from one of those small recipe books you see all the time by the check out stand. My son likes this one and I've been making it for over 20 years.

Ingredients For tortellini primivera

  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tbs margarine
  • 1 10-oz pkg chopped spinach, thawed and well drained
  • 1 8-oz container soft cream cheese
  • 1 medium tomato, chopped
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 8 to 9 oz fresh or frozen cheese-filled tortellini, cooked and drained.

How To Make tortellini primivera

  • 1
    Cook and stir mushrooms, onion and garlic in margarine in large skillet.
  • 2
    Add the remaining ingredients except the tortellini. Mix well.

    Cook until the mixture just begins to boil, stirring occasionally.
  • 4
    Stir in the tortellini.
  • 5
    Cook until thoroughly heated.
