Ingredients For steak tips with peppered mushroom gravy

2 cuncooked egg noodles

1 lbtop sirloin, cut into 3/4 inch pieces

1 Tbspbutter

2 Tbspfinely chopped shallots
-
8 ozpre-sliced baby portobello mushrooms

1 tspminced garlic
-
1 Tbspsoy sauce
-
3 Tbspall-purpose flour
-
1 1/2 cfat-free, low-sodium beef broth
-
1/2 tsppepper
-
1/4 tspsalt
-
3 sprigthyme
How To Make steak tips with peppered mushroom gravy

1Cook the egg noodles according to the package, omitting salt and fat; drain.

2Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Coat the pan with cooking spray. Add the steak and saute for 5 minutes, browning on all sides. Remove the steak from the pan and cover to keep warm.

3Melt the butter in the pan. Add the shallots and the mushrooms and saute for about 4 minutes. Add the garlic and soy sauce. Stir in the flour and allow to brown about 1 minute. Gradually add the broth, stirring constantly. Add the pepper, salt, and thyme sprigs. Bring to boil; cook 2 minutes or until thickened.

4Return the beef to pan to cook thoroughly. Remove and discard the thyme sprigs.
