This new lasagna recipe is in the style of chicken Parmesan, but I substituted steak and used steak sauce along with the ricotta and marinara.

    lasagna noodles
  • 2 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 5
    beef top sirloin steaks, sliced into 1/2 strips (6 oz each)
  • 1 md
    red onion, diced
  • 2 tsp
    steak seasoning
  • 1 c
    ricotta cheese
  • 8 oz
    cream cheese, softened
  • 2
    egg whites
  • 4 Tbsp
    steak sauce, divided
  • 2 c
    marinara sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    garlic powder
  • 2 tsp
    Italian seasoning
  • 8 oz
    monterey jack cheese, shredded
  • 2 c
    shredded Parmesan cheese

How To Make steak parmesan lasagna

    Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook lasagna noodles for 8 to 10 minutes, or until al dente. Drain, rinse with cold water and set aside.

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

    Heat olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Add steak strips and cook for 8 minutes or until tender and well done. Stir in diced red onion and season with steak seasoning. Remove from heat and set aside.

    In a medium bowl, combine the ricotta, cream cheese, egg whites, and 2 teaspoons steak sauce; whisk together until blended and creamy. Set aside.

    In a large bowl, combine the marinara sauce, garlic powder, Italian seasoning and remaining steak sauce; Mix well and set aside.

    Spread about 1/3 of the marinara sauce mixture over the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Top with 3 lasagna noodles,1/2 the ricotta mixture and 1/2 the steak strips mixture. Sprinkle with 1/2 the Monterey jack and Parmesan cheese. Repeat the layers.

    Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 40 minutes. Uncover and continue baking for 10 minutes.
