This is a nice change from ordinary red sauce. Also a great dish for lent. Alot of flavor and I used dreamfields pasta for a low carb meal.

Ingredients For spaghetti with red pesto sauce

1 lbdreamfields spaghetti
-
3med hot chili peppers
-
3red bell pepper seeded
-
3 Tbsptoasted pine nuts
-
3 clovegarlic
-
handful fresh basil
-
2 tspdried oregano
-
1/2 cparmigiano-reggiano, grated

1/3 colive oil
How To Make spaghetti with red pesto sauce

1Boil heavy salted water for pasta. Cook pasta adente saving cup of starchy water for sauce.

2Roast the red peppers in broiler til blackened and put in covered bowls to steam for ten minutes. Remove and peel and deseed.

3Combine peppers, pine nuts, cheese, basil,garlic & spices in processor, pulse. Start streaming in olive oil til paste forms.

4In pan combine paste 1/2 cup pasta water and pasta. Continue to toss til right consistency adding more starchy water if needed. Garnish with basil leaves and more parm. ENJOY!!!
