Ingredients For spaghetti with meat sauce

1/4 colive oil

1.5 lbground beef

1/2 conion, finely chopped

2garlic cloves, finely chopped

3 cantomato sauce, 8 ounces

1 canmushrooms, stems and pieces

1/2 cgreen pepper, finely chopped
-
1/4 csnipped fresh parsley
-
2.5 tspsalt
-
1/2 tsppepper
-
1/4 tspsugar
-
1/8 tspdried basil leaves

1/8 tsporegano
-
1 cdry red wine
-
1 pkgspaghetti
-
parmesan cheese, grated
How To Make spaghetti with meat sauce

1Heat oil in dutch oven.

2Cook and stir beef, onion and garlic in hot oil until beef is light brown; drain off fat.

3Stir in tomato sauce, mushrooms (with liquid), green pepper, parsley, salt, pepper, sugar, basil and oregano.

4Heat to boiling; reduce heat.

5Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, 1 hour.

6Stir in wine.

7Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, 30 minutes.

8Uncover and simmer, stirring occasionally, 30 minutes longer.

9While sauce is simmering, cook spaghetti as directed on package; drain but do not rinse.

10Pour meat sauce over hot spaghetti.

11Serve with cheese.
