simple taco spaghetti

This is a very easy recipe, made in one large pot, that serves 4. I make this with ground turkey, but can be made with lean ground beef or even Italian sausage. My family and friends love this recipe and I make it often using different meat combinations.

Ingredients For simple taco spaghetti

  • 2 Tbsp
    canola oil
  • 1 lb
    ground turkey or other meat
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 c
    diced onion
  • 1 Tbsp
    minced garlic
  • 2 - 3 Tbsp
    taco seasoning
  • 1 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 c
    beef broth
  • 1 can
    diced tomatoes(14 oz)
  • 1 can
    black beans, drained and rinsed (15.25 oz), optional
  • 8 oz
    spaghetti, broken in 1/2
  • 1 c
    shredded colby-Monterey jack cheese
  • sour cream
  • chopped lettuce
  • sliced black olives

How To Make simple taco spaghetti

    In a large pot heat oil over medium heat. Add turkey or other meat and cook 6 minutes until no longer pink, stirring frequently to break it up. Add salt and pepper to taste.

    Add onion, garlic, taco seasoning, Worcestershire sauce and beef broth. Add in tomatoes, undrained, and black beans, if using. Bring to a boil, add uncooked pasta. Reduce heat to simmering and cook uncovered 20 minutes, stirring frequently, until pasta is tender. Top with cheese.

    When serving, add some sour cream, chopped lettuce and black olives, on top, if desired.
