  • 3/4 c
    plus 2 Tbsp butter, divided
  • 4 c
    heavy cream
  • 8 oz
    shredded American grana cheese
  • 2 lb
    linguine
  • 2 lb
    shrimp
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • parsley, to garnish

How To Make shrimp alfredo

    Melt 1/2 cup plus 2 Tbsp butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Slowly whisk in the heavy cream and bring to a boil. Stir in the cheese and continue to cook until cheese is melted and sauce has thickened. Remove from heat and set aside.

    Cook the linguine in salted boiling water until al dente about 10 minutes. Drain.

    Season the shrimp with salt and pepper. Add the remaining 1/4 cup butter to a skillet. Cook the shrimp until pink and cooked through, about 3 to 4 minutes.

    Stir the linguine into the Alfredo sauce. Plate the linguine, top with shrimp, and garnish with parsley.
