Ingredients For shells pastitsio

  • 1 lb
    ground meat
  • 1 c
    chopped onion
  • 1 can
    (15 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 1 can
    (6 ounces) tomato paste
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 16 oz
    macaroni, large shells, cooked
  • 1 jar
    (16 ounces) alfredo sauce
  • 1/2 c
    grated parmesan cheese

How To Make shells pastitsio

    In a large skillet over medium heat, cook meat and onion.

    Stir in tomato sauce, tomato paste, salt and cinnamon; heat to boiling. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 10 minutes.

    Toss cooked pasta with Alfredo sauce.

    In 9 X 13 inch baking dish, spoon 1/2 pasta mixture ; spoon meat mixture evenly over pasta. Spoon remaining pasta evenly over meat mixture; sprinkle with parmesan cheese.

    Cover with foil; bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes.
