Ingredients For savory sausage penne

1 lbpenne pasta, cooked & drained

1 can(15 oz.) tomato sauce

1 jar(7 oz.) roasted red peppers, drained

1 mdonion, cut into wedges

1 Tbspolive oil

2garlic cloves, peeled
-
2 Tbspbalsamic vinegar

1 tspsugar

1 tspitalian seasoning
-
1/2 tspground coriander
-
1/2 tspfennel seed

1/4 tspgarlic salt

1 lbbulk italian sausage
-
1/3 cshredded parmesan cheese

1/4 cfresh basil, minced
How To Make savory sausage penne

1Place the tomato sauce, red peppers, onion, oil, garlic, vinegar, sugar, Italian seasoning, coriander, fennel seed and garlic salt in a food processor; cover and process until blended. Set aside.

2•In a large skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Add tomato mixture. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 10-15 minutes or until slightly thickened.

3Toss pasta with sauce. Sprinkle with cheese and basil.
