Ingredients For sausage lasagna

  • 1 lb
    bulk pork sausage
  • 1 jar
    spaghetti sauce
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 3
    eggs, beaten
  • 3 c
    (24 ounces) 4% cottage cheese or ricotta cheese
  • 1/3 c
    grated parmesan cheese
  • 1-2 Tbsp
    dried parsley flakes
  • 1/2 tsp
    each garlic powder, pepper, dried basil and oregano
  • 9
    uncooked lasagna noodles
  • 3 c
    (12 ounces) shredded mozzarella cheese

How To Make sausage lasagna

    In a large skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until no longer pink, drain.

    Stir in the spaghetti sauce and water. Simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes.

    In a large bowl, combine the eggs, cottage cheese, parmesan cheese, parsley and seasonings.

    Spread 1/2 cup meat sauce into a greased 9 X 13 inch baking dish. Layer with 3 noodles and a 1/3 of the cheese mixture, meat sauce and mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers twice.

    Cover and bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes. Uncover; and bake 10 minutes longer. Let stand for 15 minutes before serving,
