This is our quick picatta go-to for seafood or meat...we love lemon and take advantage of inexpensive jars of capers from import stores!

Ingredients For quick seafood picatta

  • 1/2 box
    angel hair pasta
  • 8 oz
    fake crab/lobster
  • 2 Tbsp
    capers
  • 2 Tbsp
    flour
  • 3/4 stick
    butter
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 3/4 c
    lemon juice
  • 1/4 c
    water from cooking pasta
  • 1/2 c
    cooked veggies (we like carrots lightly cooked in the microwave)

How To Make quick seafood picatta

  • 1
    cook angel hair to desired consistency in salty water, saving a bit of the starchy water for the sauce
  • 2
    over fairly high heat, melt butter and lightly cook the flour (2-3 minutes), add lemon juice and the rest of the ingredients....adjust looseness of the sauce by adding pasta water
  • 3
    toss sauce with drained pasta and serve!
