This is a kid pleasing recipe I found in my Betty Crocker top - rated recipes book.. It's Yummylicious!..hope you give it a try..

Ingredients For pizza mac - n - cheese

    ( 16 ounce ) uncooked macaroni
  • 1 lb
    mild or spicy pork sausage
  • 1 lg
    green bell pepper, chopped, i use red
  • 1 lg
    onion, chopped - 1 cup
  • 1/3 c
    butter
  • 1/3 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    crushed red pepper flakes
  • 2 c
    milk
  • 3/4 c
    water
  • 4 c
    shredded white cheddar cheese
  • 1 1/2 c
    shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 c
    grated parmesan cheese
  • 20 slice
    pepperoni

How To Make pizza mac - n - cheese

    Heat oven to 425 degree F. Spray 3 quart baking dish with cooking spray.

    Cook and drain macaroni as directed on package. In a nonstick 12 in skillet; cook sausage over med high heat until no longer pink; drain. In same skillet; cook pepper and onion for 5 minutes or until tender.

    In a 4 quart saucepan, melt butter over med low heat. Stir in flour, salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of the pepper flakes.

    Cook and stir until smooth. Gradually add milk and water, stirring constantly until thickened. Gradually add Cheddar cheese; stir until melted.

    Add macaroni, sausage and onion mixture; stir to coat. ( I pour it into a big bowl to mix it).

    Pour into casserole. Sprinkle with Mozzarella cheese.

    Bake uncovered 35 to 40 minutes, or until bubbly.

    Top with Parmesan cheese, pepperoni and remaining 1 teaspoon of pepper flakes. Bake until lightly browned, about 5 minutes. ( You can add whatever you want to this dish..mushrooms, italian seasoning...I added garlic powder, onion powder and oregano to the meat..and a little parsley flakes).
