Ingredients For pasta with ham, peas and cream

  • 1 c
    peas, fresh or frozen, i used canned
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter, unsalted
  • 1 c
    sliced mushrooms
  • 2 oz
    prosciutto ham, roughly chopped
  • 1/2 c
    heavy cream
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    freshly ground black pepper
  • 12 oz
    garden delight fettuccine
  • 1/2 c
    freshly grated parmesan cheese

How To Make pasta with ham, peas and cream

    Bring a large pot and a small pot of salted water to a boil. Add peas to the small pot and cook 3 minutes until crisp, Drain,set aside.

    Melt butter in a medium skillet over medium heat, add mushrooms and cook 3-4 minutes until lightly browned. Add ham and cook 1 minute. Stir in peas, cream, salt and pepper. Turn heat to low, keep warm while cooking pasta.

    Cook pasta in large pot according to package directions. Drain, reserving 1 cup of the pasta cooking water. Toss pasta with butter mixture (if too dry, add a little of the pasta water). Toss pasta with the Parmesan cheese. Top the Fettuccini with the pea mixture just befre serving.
