I freeze the rest of the noodle and green bean for another use. And all the mess is done because they are already cooked. Note: I usually make this with frozen green peas…NEVER CANNED but was out….I think I am the only one who keeps peas in her freezer. And I have made this with broccoli or asparagus And if your concerned about the bacon grease, after you fry the onions and peppers, simply remove them and wipe the pan with a paper towel.

Ingredients For pasta with bacon and beans “ one pot wonder”

1 lb. pasta i used penne but you can use any kind you like

8 oz of cut green beans frozen

½ lb. bacon cut into bite size pieces

½ medium white onion chopped fine
-
1 tablespoon fresh ground pepper
-
1 tablespoon red pepper flakes or to taste
-
1 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
-
parmesan cheese for top
How To Make pasta with bacon and beans “ one pot wonder”

1Cook pasta with green beans in a large frying pan, till the pasta is almost done, for about 5 minutes, drain.

2In same frying pan fry bacon until it is crisp.

3Remove the bacon and fry the onions, black pepper & red pepper flakes in the bacon grease.

4“ How good does that sound? “

5When that is done toss ½ the noodles, green beans all of the bacon and onions together back into the frying pan.

6And on a low heat, toss and top with Parmesan cheese.

7As soon as it is all warm and the cheese has started to melt shut off the heat.

8Top with additional Parmesan cheese and more red pepper flakes.
