Ingredients For pasta fagioli

1/2 lbitalian sausage, sweet
-
1/2onion, chopped
-
1/4 cred wine
-
1/2 cwater, reserved from cooking pasta

16 ozplain pork & beans
-
8 oztomato sauce
-
14 1/2 ozdiced tomatoes (fire roasted are best)
-
1/2 lbelbow pasta, cooked
-
1 tsporegano
-
1 clovegarlic, chopped
How To Make pasta fagioli

1Cook pasta according to package directions.

2Fry sausage until no longer pink in saucepan. Add onions & fry until translucent. Add garlic and fry 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

3Deglaze the pan with red wine & pasta water. Add beans, tomato sauce & diced tomatoes. Warm through.

4Add pasta & oregano. Simmer until sauce thickens, stirring occasionally to make sure nothing sticks to the bottom of the pot.

5Serve hot topped with Parmesan cheese.
