It's a tuna melt w/out the bread, lol. Made into a casserole. One of my moms signature dishes. Comfort food at its best!

Ingredients For moms easy tuna melt casserole

6 ozelbow macaroni
-
2 Tbspbutter
-
2 Tbspflour
-
1/2 tspslat
-
1/4 tsppepper
-
3 c1% milk
-
2 cshredded swiss cheese, i used reduced-fat

36 oz cans tuna, drained, flaked

3 lgtomatoes, cut into 1/4-thick slices.
How To Make moms easy tuna melt casserole

1Heat oven to 400. Spray a 9" x 13" casserole dish w/ cooking spray. Cook pasta as directed, drain, return to pot.

2In saucepan, over low heat, melt butter. Stir in flour, salt and pepper. Cook 1 min, stirring constantly. Slowly whisk in milk. Increase heat to med-high. Cook until thickened, stirring.

3Remove pan from heat. stir in 1-1/2 cup cheese until melted. Add cheese sauce to macaroni. Add tuna to macaroni mix. Stir well. Transfer to casserole dish. Place tomato slices on top of casserole. Sprinkle w/ remaining cheese. Cover w/ foil. Bake 20 mins. Remove foil, bake additional 10 mins.
