In memory of my dear sweet Mother. My Mom past away in August of 2010,she not only left us with the love of family,she left us with the love of good food.This mac and cheese was always requested at all family get togethers.The dish would be scraped clean,and grandkids would be asking for more.I hope all of you who try it will enjoy it as much as we did.

Ingredients For mom's baked mac and cheese

  • 2 c
    elbow macaroni, cooked
  • 1 can
    cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 2 c
    cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 c
    milk
  • 6 slice
    american cheese

How To Make mom's baked mac and cheese

    In a 3 quart saucepan bring 2 quarts of water to a boil,add salt.Cook macaroni 10 to 12 minutes or till aldente.Drain,add cream of mushroom soup,cheese,and milk.Stir until well combined.

    Pour mixture in a well greased casserole dish.Place cheese slices on top of macaroni,sprinkle with pepper.Bake at 350* for 30 minutes.
