This recipe came from my mother-in-law. My husband loves it.

Use as a salad, a side dish, or a main dish.

You could add chopped celery, bell peppers, olives, etc.

Ingredients For macaroni tuna salad

  • 7 oz
    pkg. of tiny shell pasta - see note below
  • 12 oz
    can of tuna, drained
  • 3
    boiled eggs, peeled, and chopped
  • 1 tsp
    minced garlic
  • 3/4 c
    chopped red onion
  • 3/4 c
    mayonnaise
  • 1 c
    shredded mild cheddar cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste

How To Make macaroni tuna salad

  • 1
    Prepare the shell pasta as directed on package. Drain well.
    In a large bowl, mix the drained pasta with all other ingredients. Stir gently.
    Refrigerate overnight.

    NOTE:
    I get the tiny shells in the 'TIERRA LINDA' brand. They are called 'conchitas' -- small shell pasta.
