This is an extension of my Cole Slaw dressing. This can be used for macaroni or potato salad Again I have been making this since 1987 and one of my most requested recipes. I promise you won't be disappointed. I don't suggest saving this dressing in the fridge for future use.

Ingredients For macaroni salad

  • BOIL THESE TOGETHER
  • 1 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1/4 c
    flour
  • 1 1/4 c
    water
  • 3/4 c
    vinegar
  • WHEN COOL MIX IN
  • 1 c
    mayonnaise (i use hellmans)
  • 1/2 c
    diced celery
  • 6
    eggs - hard boiled and diced
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 c
    mustard
  • grated carrots (for color)
  • parsley to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • ADD YOUR PREFERRED AMOUNT TO: REMEMBER IT WILL SOAK IN
  • 1/2 lb
    boiled and drained macaroni
  • IF USING 1 POUND OF MACARONI DO NOT INCREASE DRESSING. YOU WILL FIND WITH 1/2 POUND YOU WILL NOT USE ALL THE DRESSING

How To Make macaroni salad

    Add preferred amount to your pasta or potatoes.

    I like to bake my potatoes, let them cool, peel and dice and then add my dressing. The flavor of baked potato salad is wonderful and different than boiled.
