This is one of those quick weeknight meals that I fall back on, especially if I have kids around. They seem to eat anything with cheese!

Ingredients For macaroni, ham and broccoli casserole

8 ozpackage elbow macaroni

10 ozpackage frozen chopped broccoli

1/4 cbutter

1/4 call-purpose flour

1/4 cgrated onion

3 cmilk
-
1 1/2 cprocess cheese spread (velveeta) (6 ounces)

1/2 tspsalt
-
1/2 tspdry mustard
-
1 dashground white pepper

2 cchopped cooked ham
-
1/4 cgrated parmesan cheese
How To Make macaroni, ham and broccoli casserole

1Cook the macaroni according to the package directions; drain. Set aside.

2Cook the broccoli according to the package directions; drain. Set aside.

3Melt the butter in a heavy saucepan over low heat; add flour and onion, stirring well. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Gradually add the milk; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture is thickened and bubbly. Add the cheese spread (Velveeta), salt, mustard, and pepper; cook, stirring constantly, until the cheese melts. Remove from the heat. Add the macaroni, broccoli, and ham.

4Pour the mixture into a greased 2 1/2 quart baking dish; sprinkle with the Parmesan cheese. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
