This is Sandy's newer version. The one she made when the boys were young is also in JAP. This is the same recipe she made for Breya's 11th birthday party.

Ingredients For macaroni and cheese, sandy (new) *

  • 2 c
    uncooked macaroni
  • 1/2 c
    butter, cubed
  • 1/2 c
    flour
  • 1 1/2 c
    milk
  • 1 c
    sour cream
  • 8 oz
    velveeta, cubed
  • 1/4 c
    grated parmesan
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    dry mustard
  • 1/2 tsp
    pepper
  • 2 c
    shredded mild or sharp cheddar cheese

How To Make macaroni and cheese, sandy (new) *

    Cook macaroni to package directions. Meanwhile: in large saucepan melt butter, stir in flour until smooth. Gradually add the milk. Bring to boil, cook and stir 2 minutes. Reduce heat. Stir in sour cream, velveeta, parmesan, salt, mustard and pepper until cheese is melted and smooth. Drain macaroni and toss in cheddar cheese.

    Toss into greased 3 quart baking dish. Add velveeta sauce and mix well. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
