Blue Ribbon Recipe

An easy, delicious, and budget-friendly ground beef casserole. Super cheesy and creamy, everything coats the egg noodles. Fresh onions and bell peppers add a bit of flavor to the hearty ground beef. There are pops of sweetness from the corn. Serve this dinner casserole alone or with a side salad.

Ingredients For ground beef casserole

  • 2 lb
    ground beef
  • 1 md
    bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 md
    onion, chopped
  • 9 c
    egg noodles, cooked
  • 1 lb
    American cheese, cubed
  • 1 can
    whole kernel corn, drained (15 oz)
  • 2 can
    cream of mushroom soup, undiluted (10.5 oz each)
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper

Add some extra shredded cheese for the presentation. Also, we used a 16 oz bag of egg noodles.
  • Cooking ground beef, green pepper, and onion in a Dutch oven.

    In a Dutch oven, cook beef, green pepper, and onion until meat is no longer pink and vegetables are tender. Drain.
  • Cooked egg noodles, cheese, corn, creamed soup, milk, and seasonings added.

    Remove from heat; stir in remaining ingredients.
  • Mixture poured into a greased baking dish.

    Transfer to a greased 9x13 baking dish.
