We used to eat this a lot. Need to come up with a tomato free version, but too lazy :)

Ingredients For goulash

  • 1 lb
    lean ground beef
  • 3 lg
    potatoes
  • 1 can
    green beans
  • 3 Tbsp
    tomato paste
  • salt and pepper to taste

How To Make goulash

  • 1
    Peel the potatoes and chop them into 1/2 inch cubes. Place in bowl of cold water and soak.

    Brown the hamburger meat over medium heat. Drain the potatoes, and add them to the pot along with the green beans.
  • 3
    Add two cups water to the pot. Bring to a boil and stir in tomato paste, then reduce heat, cover and simmer until the potatoes are soft, but not mushy. Season to taste.
