I created this brand new chicken nugget casserole and it's the twelfth garlic parmesan creation.

Ingredients For garlic parmesan chicken nugget casserole

  • 1 c
    Parmesan crisps
  • 6 tsp
    garlic powder, divided
  • 1 bag
    frozen all-white meat chicken nuggets, thawed
  • 4 Tbsp
    melted margarine, divided
  • 4 Tbsp
    grated Parmesan cheese, divided
  • 1 bottle
    garlic Parmesan sauce, divided
  • 1 lb
    dry elbow macaroni
  • 3/4 c
    shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1 c
    cold heavy cream
  • 1 c
    half and half
  • 8 oz
    cream cheese, softened
  • 2 c
    shredded colby jack cheese

How To Make garlic parmesan chicken nugget casserole

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

    Coat an 9 x 13-inch baking dish with cooking spray. Add Parmesan crisps and season with 2 teaspoons garlic powder.

    Place thawed chicken nuggets onto a baking sheet. Bake for 13 minutes. Cool completely for 10 minutes.

    Place them in a large ziplock bag. Add 2 tablespoons melted margarine, 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese, 2 teaspoons garlic powder and half the bottle of garlic Parmesan sauce; shake well.

    Refrigerate for 10 minutes.

    Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain. Transfer to a large bowl. Add shredded Parmesan cheese and remaining garlic powder; toss well and set aside.

    In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine heavy cream, half and half, cream cheese, remaining garlic Parmesan sauce, and remaining melted margarine.

    Stir well and let simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat.

    Use tongs to remove chicken nugget mixture from the ziplock bag into a prepared baking dish. Add macaroni mixture; mix well.

    Pour the sauce slowly into chicken nugget/macaroni mixture evenly. Sprinkle with shredded colby jack and remaining grated Parmesan cheese.

    Bake for 30 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
