I have been using this recipe for over 35 years. It makes a very hearty spaghetti sauce that can really fill you up. Great with a nice salad and buttery-yummy-cheesy Garlic bread

Ingredients For fancy-dancy over the top spaghetti sauce

2 lbground beef or italian sausage or a mixture of both

1 mdonion, chopped

1 mdbell pepper
-
2 cantomato sauce, 15-1/2 ounce size
-
2 cantomato paste, 12 ounce size
-
1 canblack olives, chopped, 7-1/2 ounce size (you can also use sliced olives if you desire)

2 pkgspaghetti sauce mix with mushrooms

3 cwater
-
1 Tbspsugar
-
1 tsporegano
-
2 clovegarlic, chopped
-
1bay leaf
-
1 lbpasta of your choice
How To Make fancy-dancy over the top spaghetti sauce

1Cook meat, drain fat. Add onions and bell peppers and cook until meat is browned and vegetables are tender.

2Stir in remaining ingredients and simmer for 1-1/2 hours. While the sauce is simmering you can cook the pasta you choose to serve with this sauce.

3Drain spaghetti and serve with sauce, top with cheese and serve with garlic toast. This is better the next day, if there is enough left.
