This is a family favorite; easy without cooking noodles in advance. Use your favorite spaghetti sauce & lighten the recipe with low-fat cheeses if desired. It's always great.

Ingredients For easy one-step lasagna

  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 32 oz
    spaghetti sauce
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 1 tsp
    oregano, dried and basil
  • 12 oz
    cottage cheese, lowfat
  • 1
    egg, beaten
  • 9
    lasagna noodles, uncooked
  • 3/4 c
    mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 c
    parmesan cheese

How To Make easy one-step lasagna

    Heat oven to 350. Brown beef, drain & stir in spaghetti sauce, water, basil & oregano. Simmer 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    In a small bowl, combined cottage cheese & beaten egg.

    Spread thin layer meat sauce in bottom of 9 x 13 pan. Layer 1/3 noodles, 1/3 sauce, 1/3 cottage cheese & 1/3 mozzarella; repeat, ending with mozzarella; sprinkle with parmesan. Cover with foil, bake 30 minutes. Remove foil & bake additional 25-30 minutes. Let stand 10-15 minutes before serving.
