I got this recipe from a friend's mother-in-law years ago and have made my own adjustments. My husband and kids love this! This is a great meal to bring to a friend in need...just prepare and cook half-way, cover with foil, and have the friend refrigerate and finish cooking later.

Ingredients For easy and delicious baked macaroni and cheese

  • 16 oz
    pasta such as elbow or penne
  • 12 oz
    can of evaporated milk
  • 4
    8 ounce bags of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1
    8 oz cup hot water
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • breadcrumbs
  • about 1 tablespoon butter

How To Make easy and delicious baked macaroni and cheese

    Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Boil pasta according to "al dente" directions on the box, drain and rinse with cold water. Spray a 9 x 13 pan with non-stick cooking spray. In a large bowl mix all ingredients except bread crumbs and butter. Pour mixture into pan. Sprinkle with bread crumbs and dot with butter. Bake for 45 minutes to an hour until casserole is nicely browned and bubbly on the sides.
