This is an easy inexpensive filling meal. When my Dad was a kid his father was in the kitchen making dinner.My dad walked in and asked his father what was for dinner. His father was opening cans of dog food to feed the pets and my Dad said, "Ewww are we having dog food for dinner?" Of course his father said "yes" and there is how the name was born ...I love that story.

Ingredients For dog food

  • 1 box
    elbow macaroni
  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1 lg
    onion ,chopped
  • 1 md
    green bell pepper,chopped
  • 1 can
    diced tomatoes
  • 1 can
    chili w/beans
  • 1 jar
    spaghetti sauce

How To Make dog food

  • 1
    Cook macaroni according to package, drain well.
  • 2
    Brown ground beef in a large pot.
  • 3
    add chopped onion and green pepper.
  • 4
    add diced tomatoes and chili w/beans
  • 5
    cook until onion and peppers are done.

    add spaghetti sauce. Heat to low boil.

    add macaroni and mix well.

    Serve with bread and salad to complete meal.
