1/2 cbutter

8 ozfresh mushrooms, sliced

1/2 cflour

2 cchicken stock

1 1/2 cmilk

2egg yolks

1/3 cheavy cream

1 cfrozen peas

2 cleftover shredded rotisserie chicken

salt and pepper

sweet paprika

1 lbshell pasta, cooked and drained

fresh parsley, for garnish
How To Make chicken a la king with shell pasta

1In a large saucepan, melt the butter, add the mushrooms and cook about 5 minutes. Add the flour, stir and cook about 3 minutes. Add the chicken stock and milk and stir until thickened.

2Beat the egg yolks with the heavy cream. Keep whisking, add 1/2 cup of the hot mushroom sauce, then pour it back into the pan. Cook 2 more minutes. Stir in the frozen peas and cooked chicken. Serve over cooked shell pasta and garnish with fresh parsley.
