I got this recipe from my mother-in-law. This dish is one of my husband's all time favorite dishes. It's such a major hit with my family so I thought I would share!

Ingredients For cavatini

  • 1 lb
    ground beef or turkey
  • 3 types of pasta (regular or whole wheat), 1 cup each.
  • 1 md
    green pepper, chopped
  • 1 md
    onion, chopped
  • 15 1/2 oz
    spaghetti sauce
  • 6 oz
    pepperoni
  • 1 pkg
    mozz. cheese
  • 1
    container of cottage cheese

How To Make cavatini

  • 1
    Brown beef, onions and peppers. Cook until onions are clear, drain. While beef is cooking cook the pasta.

    Once the beef is browned, add the spaghetti sauce and the pepperoni. Drain pasta and mix with meat sauce.

    Mix mozz. cheese and cottage cheese together.
  • 4
    Put down a layer of noodles and beef, then a layer of cheese. Then the rest of the noodles and beef. While doing all of this, preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

    Bake for 30-35 minutes.
