One of the ladies from church made this for a luncheon. I asked for the recipe from the first fantastic bite!

Stove Top
Ingredients For bow ties with sausage, tomatoes and cream

2 Tbspolive oil
-
1 lbsweet or hot italian sausage, remove casings
-
1/2 tspred pepper flakes
-
1/2 cdiced onion
-
3 clovegarlic, pressed
-
28 ozcan (drained) diced tomatoes
-
1 1/2 cwhipping cream or 1/2 and 1/2
-
1/2 tspsalt
-
12 ozbow-tie pasta, cooked and drained
-
3 Tbspminced fresh basil (can omit if desired)

parmesan cheese to taste
How To Make bow ties with sausage, tomatoes and cream

1Heat oil in large skillet. Add: sausage and red pepper flakes, stirring until sausage is brown.

2Add: onion and garlic. Cook until onion is tender.

3Add: tomatoes, cream and salt. Simmer until it thickens slightly.

4Add: pasta to sauce and cook until heated through.

5Serve sprinkled with basil and parmesan cheese.

6Note at bottom of recipe: This dish has an elegant presentation and I like to serve it to guests. Children love it too.
