Ingredients For bow tie lasagna (stove top)

1 lblean ground beef or italian sausage

1 smonion, chopped

2 clovegarlic, minced

1 can14.5 oz. diced tomatoes

1 1/2 cwater

1 tspsugar
-
1 smcan tomato paste
-
1 Tbspparsley
-
1 tspsalt
-
1/4 tspfreshly ground black pepper or red pepper flakes.

2 1/2 cbow tie pasta, uncooked
-
1-1 1/2 cricotta cheese or small curd cottage cheese
-
1/4 cparmesan cheese, shredded or grated
How To Make bow tie lasagna (stove top)

1Cook ground beef, onion, and garlic. Drain if necessary.

2Add tomatoes, water, tomato paste, sugar, salt and pepper.

3Stir in uncooked pasta and bring to a full boil; then reduce heat to a simmer.

4Cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes.

5Combine ricotta (or cottage cheese) and parmesan cheese. Drop by tablespoon onto pasta mixture. Sprinkle with parsley , cover and simmer for an additional 5 minutes. Top with additional parmesan or mozzarella, if desired.
