2 lgred onions, cut in half and sliced into thin half-rings

2 Tbsppacked brown sugar

2 Tbspcider vinegar

1 tspsalt

1 tspbeef base (i like better than bouillon brand)

2 1/2 lbbeef round steak, trimmed of fat and cut into serving-size portions

1 Tbspall-purpose flour

16-oz pkgwide egg noodles

sour cream, to serve (optional)
How To Make bavarian round steak with red onions and noodles

1Place onions in a 4- to 5-quart slow cooker. Top with brown sugar, vinegar, salt and beef base. Top with beef. Sprinkle flour over beef.

2Cover slow cooker, set on Low heat and cook 7 to 8 hours.

3About 15 minutes before serving, cook noodles according to package directions and drain.

4To serve, place noodles on serving plates and ladle some of the meat and onion mixture over the noodles. Top each serving with a dollop of sour cream, if desired.
