Ingredients For traditional creamy macaroni & cheese

1 cwhole milk

1 ccheddar cheese

2 Tbspbutter
-
2 Tbspflour
-
1 tspsalt

1 dashwhite pepper

8 ozdry macaroni noodles

salt & pepper to taste
How To Make traditional creamy macaroni & cheese

1Cook macaroni according to package directions. Make cheese sauce while macaroni is cooking.

2Melt butter in bottom of a small sauce pan. Add flour and stir with a wire whisk until smooth. Add milk and cheddar cheese.

3Stir over medium-medium high heat until smooth and thickened. This takes about 10 minutes.

4Drain macaroni noodles and return to pot. Stir in hot cheese sauce until well combined. Add salt & pepper to taste if desired.
