Sun of Italy is a blend of a few good spices used in Italian cooking with parmesan cheese mixed in ,you can find it in the Italian section of the grocery store .It really makes this recipe good.

Ingredients For baked spaghetti

  • 1 box
    spaghetti pasta
  • 45. oz
    jar of ragu chuncky garden sauce
  • 2 c
    mixed italian blend shredded cheese
  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1 pt
    cottage cheese
  • 1 lg
    egg
  • 1/2 c
    diced onion
  • 1/3 c
    diced green pepper
  • 11/2 tsp
    sun of italy seasoning
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper

How To Make baked spaghetti

    Mix cottage cheese, egg,1/2 cup shredded cheese ,1/4 teaspoon of seasoning , 1/4 teaspoon salt and pepper. keep in refrigerator PRE HEAT OVEN 350 DEGREES

    Break spaghetti pasta into halves, drop into boiling water cook until done according to package.

    Sauté ground beef, onions, green peppers 1 teaspoon of seasoning and 1/2 teaspoon salt + 1/4 teaspoon pepper . Cook until no more pink in beef then drain well.

    Mix 1/2 teaspoon seasoning into Ragu sauce.

    In 9x13 glass oven proof dish spread small amount sauce, spread layer of drained pasta, then sauce , all of ground beef ,then spread all of cottage cheese then rest of spaghetti + enough sauce to cover. last spread 1 1/2 cups of shredded cheese evenly BAKE 35 40 MINUTES. ALLOW TO SET A FEW MINUTES.
