This is a recipe that Sandy absolutely loves. She has shared it with my sister in law, but for some reason it never comes out as good when she makes it! This is a wonderful meal...

Ingredients For baked macaroni and cheese, longaberger

1 1/2 cuncooked macaroni

salt to taste

1 cfresh bread crumbs

1/2 cgrated parmesan cheese

2 Tbspunsalted butter, melted

1 lbsharp cheddar cheese
-
1/4 cbutter, melted
-
2eggs, beaten
-
1 cmilk
-
pepper to taste
How To Make baked macaroni and cheese, longaberger

1Cook macaroni in boiling salted water in med saucepan just until tender. Do NOT overcook. Combine bread crumbs, parmesan and 2 T unsalted butter in a bowl and mix well. Shred cheddar cheese and reserve 1/2 c for the topping. Drain macaroni and return to saucepan. Add 1/4 c butter and remaining cheddar cheese and mix well. Cook over med heat for 3 min, stirring constantly. Grease 8x8 or 2 qt covered casserole. Pour in macaroni mixture. Sprinkle with reserved cheddar. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 min. Remove from oven and stir. Top with bread crumb mixture and bake 15 min longer.
