Ingredients For baked beef ziti

12 ozuncooked ziti

1 tspolive oil
-
2 mdgarlic cloves - minced
-
1/2 lblean ground beef
-
1 tspdried oregano
-
1 tspdried thyme
-
1 tspdried rosemary
-
1/2 tspsalt and pepper each

1 jarready made spaghetti sauce (or 28oz can of crushed tomatoes)

1 cmozzrella cheese, shredded
How To Make baked beef ziti

1Preheat oven to 350. Cook pasta according to package directions and drain. Set aside.

2Meanwhile, heat oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat; add garlic and saute 2 minutes. Add beef and cook until browned, breaking up the meat as it cooks. Drain off any fat.

3Add oregano, thyme, rosemary, salt and pepper, stir to coat beef. Cook 2 minutes until herbs become fragrant. Add sauce OR tomatoes, and bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.

4Spoon small about of tomato mixture in bottom of 3 qt. casserole dish(to keep pasta from sticking). Mix everything together and pour in casserole. Bake 20-25 minutes--cover with foil.
