I love pasta and I always make my own pasta sauce. I start in the morning and let in cook for about 5 to 6 hours in the crock pot. I use this sauce for all kinds of pasta dishes I make! Recipe Source~ Me!

Ingredients For angela's meat sauce

  • MEAT SAUCE
  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1 lg
    onion, chopped
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 2 clove
    garlic, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1
    (28 ounce) can diced tomato (i use contadina)
  • 1
    (28 ounce) can tomato sauce (i use contadina)
  • 1
    (28 ounce) can tomato puree (i use contadina)
  • 1 can
    (8 ounce) can tomato paste (i use contadina)
  • 1 Tbsp
    oregano
  • 1 Tbsp
    basil
  • 1/2 c
    shredded carrot
  • 1/2 c
    grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 c
    red wine

How To Make angela's meat sauce

    In large nonstick skillet, saute onion & garlic in olive oil on low heat about 5 minutes. Add ground beef, salt and pepper and cook on medium-high heat until ground beef is no longer pink.

    Meanwhile, add the remaining 9 ingredients to slow cooker. Add ground beef mixture & pan drippings to crock pot and cook on 6 to 8 hour setting.
