My granddaughter loves this alfredo sauce. She calls it "white sauce". I always use real butter, not margarine, as the butter gives it a rich flavor.

  • 1 1/2 stick
    real butter
  • 4 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 2 c
    heavy whipping cream
  • 2 c
    parmesan cheese (shredded)

How To Make alfredo sauce

  • 1
Melt the butter but do not let it brown. Add garlic and sautee until it starts to turn light brown.(feel free to add more garlic if you love garlic)
  • 2
Add the whipping cream and mix well to incorporate the butter with the cream. (I sometimes lightly use my wisk to make sure it mixes well.) Stir for 2-3 minutes. Add the parmesan cheese and stir quickly as it will start to thicken right away.
