I love the simplicity of this dish, nothing overpowering the flavor of the crab. This could also be made with imitation crab. Enjoy!

Ingredients For ~ a little crabby pasta ~

  • 1/3 c
    olive oil
  • 3 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1 sm
    to medium sweet onion, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp
    jarred mince garlic or 2 - 3 cloves fresh minced
  • 1 md
    carrot, julienned
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    dried basil
  • 6 oz
    crab meat, flaked
  • 1 1/4 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 2 - 3 Tbsp
    chopped italian parsley
  • 8 oz
    prepared spaghetti
  • 1 tsp
    salt or to taste
  • Pepper to
    to taste

How To Make ~ a little crabby pasta ~

    Prepare pasta while making the sauce as it doesn't take long. In a medium skillet, melt butter with Olive oil, over medium high heat, add onion, garlic and carrots, toss and cook just until tender, stirring often.

    Reduce heat to medium and add the crab, basil, lemon juice and parsley, continue cooking for just a few more minutes and stir in the salt and pepper.

    Place hot pasta in a bowl or large platter and pour the crab mixture over it. Toss to coat pasta. Can sprinkle with parsley and Parmesan cheese if desire. Serve immediately.
