This is a recipe I found over 25 years back in a "Fit for life" book. It combines cooked and uncooked veggies in a mix that will send you back for more, and more , and more. It has been my favorite sandwitch ever since. I believe they were called "NY goodwitches" It is the BBQ sauce on the onions that makes it.

Ingredients For veggie pitas

1/2 smonion sauted until tender crisp and add a tablespoon or two bbq sauce to coat them well

lettuce, tomato, avacado, thin sliced broccoli, cauliflower, black olives, and any other veggie you want

1Assemble the veggies in the pita and top with the BBQ onions. These are out of this world yummy.
