Ingredients For sweet potato and chickpea wot

14 ozchickpeas (or 1 can, us)

2onion

1 lbsweet potatoes

1/2 colive oil

2 Tbspberiberi
-
1 Tbspkibe (ethiopian seasoned, clarified butter)

salt, to taste

3 clovegarlic

water, as needed
How To Make sweet potato and chickpea wot

1Cook onions in hot, dry skillet for about 3 minutes. Add oil, stir and cook 3 more minutes.

2Add berbere and stir well, adding a little water if needed for about 5 minutes. Add sweet potatoes, lower heat slightly, cook for 5 minutes.

3Add chickpeas, garlic and salt. Add a little water, stir and cook for 5 more minutes. Then add butter and cook until potatoes are tender. Taste for salt and serve.
