I experimented a few times before coming up with this sure fire way to serve lamb shanks. Tehy are so tender and yummy, I never have any leftover.

Ingredients For slow cooker lamb shanks

4lamb shanks
-
salt and pepper
-
1 Tbspolive oil
-
1 cfresh sliced mushrooms
-
3sliced carrots
-
1diced onion
-
2 cloveminced garlic
-
1 Tbspworcestershire sauce
-
1 cbeef broth
-
1 candiced tomatoes drained
-
2 Tbspfresh minced rosemary
-
1 tspdried oregano
-
1bay leaf
-
1/4 tspcinnamon
-
1 canmild flavored beer
-
1 1/2 corzo pasta, uncooked
How To Make slow cooker lamb shanks

1Heat olive oil in pan. Salt and pepper lamb, brown on all sides and place in crock pot.

2Add remaining ingredients except orzo. Cook on high for 2 hours. Then low for about 6 more hours.

3Remove meat from crock and keep warm. Remove sauce and veggies from crock, place in non-stick frying pan, cook on high for about 15 minutes stirring to keep from burning, until some of the juice has cooked down. Add orzo cook for about 15-20 minutes or until softened. Blot with papertowels to remove excess oil. Serve lamb on top of orzo and veggies.
