an east coast grandma had this recipe and i got it.i altered it for a louisiana crabcake.

Ingredients For sheris crab cakes

  • 1 lb
    crabmeat, fresh
  • 1/4 c
    mayonnaise
  • 1
    egg
  • 1 tsp
    mustard
  • 1 tsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • tabasco
    dash
  • salt
    pinch
  • pepper
    pinch
  • 1 c
    fresh white bread crumbs
  • BREADING
  • 1 1/2 c
    bread crumbs
  • THE OIL TO FRY IN
  • 1/4 c
    butter
  • 1/4 c
    oil

How To Make sheris crab cakes

  • 1
    mix the crabmeat and the ingredients at the top,then refrigerate for about an hour.make a cake of it,kinda thick,then,take the cake,and put into the bread crumbs for the breading,then heat your oil and butter in a skillet,and when its hot,fry the crabcake,when browned on one side,flip to the other side,can serve with an aoili sauce or tartar sauce,or just eat as is.can freeze these also.
